Kathryn D Hoffner Smith

I was looking at pictures the other day and found the picture of my daughter, Olivia with Kathryn at Hope Church on a Sunday. The pictures taken because Kathryn was the oldest member and Olivia the youngest. I will cherish that photo for a long time. She was a great person. Loved to see the smile on her face when we would sing Christmas Carols at the nursing home. You could tell she was proud to have us there. Will miss you Kathryn. Enjoy eternal live in Heaven

Jim, 'Ges' & Family, So sorry to hear about the loss of Jim's mother. I maybe didn't know her real well but I do remember the times we square danced at the care facility and how she enjoyed watching us. She always talked like she had known me for years. Our prayers are with you all in this difficult time. God bless and take care. Troy & Margaret Krug

Jim and family: I was SO SORRY to read of the loss of your Mother. Ironically, I was just thinking of her (and you) just this past week -- it's been almost 50 years when I last saw you. Please accept my deepest condolences.

We are so sorry for your loss. We got to know Kathryn when my sons, Andy and Mark Turner would take care of her yard and driveway. She was such a special person and so delightful. There has always been a special place in our hearts for her. She will be truly missed.

Laurence and I square danced with you folks. I visited Kathryn ~2 weeks ago. She seemed very content and at peace. My mom, Wiltrude Newman was across the hall from Kathryn at HCC. She passed away on Easter 3 years ago. My heart goes out to you...it is hard to lose your mom. Dixie and Laurence

I had the pleasure of meeting Kathryn 6 years ago when my mom was at HCC. Mom & Kathryn shared the same dinning table. My mom was only at HCC for three weeks but Kathryn and I have continued a great friendship. I loved her smile and positive attitude and she had the best stories. She will be missed. My sympathy to you and your family.

Jim and Ges, So sorry to hear of your loss. I came back from a long Memorial Day weekend in La Crosse and just sat down to "catch up" on reading the newspapers I missed while I was gone. I'm very sad to hear of the news and sorry to miss the visitation/services. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Love, Denise (and Chris) Boeding
