Virtus C. Lorenzen

To Virtus family and friends. Sorry to hear about Virtus, I always enjoyed talking to him and last year Nancy and I stoped in to see him at his home and he was watching the Chicago clubs. He really did enjoy life with his travels and sports. We all should be so lucky to have the life that he had. He always talked about his daughter and family. He loved them a lot. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. We know he is with God now and someday we can meet again. You have our Sympathy Lyle & Nancy Primrose

Our sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Virtus Lorenzen. Virt and Mary have been supporters of Camp Courageous for over 30 years, along with supporting anything that has been good for Jones County. As the camp grew over the years, so did their support. Jones County has truly lost an incredible supporter. Like other great Jones County residents like the Howard and Margaret Hall, Beahl and Irene Perrine, Dotty Cummins and so many others, they felt strongly about giving back...and they all happen to be big Hawkeye fans...and Cubs fans too! Virt will be dearly missed...but his impact in Jones County will never be forgotten.

I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I have fond memories of Virtus. He loved to talk about the Iowa Hawkeyes and of course so did I. He was a classic gentleman.

Michele, Wes and family We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. We can't say eneough great things about Virt and the memories he left with us.We feel so honored to have been able to be inspired by his wisdom and love for life. He always had a postive attitude and kind words to say to everyone. We truely cared about him and your Mom and knowing they are together makes the situation more bearable. Words can't express how much he will be missed. He was a inspiration to all that knew him. Dave and Adrianne Mcatee t v
