Ed & Family, Please accept our sincerest sympathies at the loss of Helen. Jean worked with her in 1963-1964 at Drs. Bausch and Scholl's office at 19th St. & First Avenue East. Jean loved Helen and spoke wonderful words about her over the years. Sincerely, Stan & Jean Huff

Dearest Bea and Ed, I met the girls a couple of years ago, I am the crossing guard for Grant Wood Elementary. I am so happy that I made an acquaintance with you and Helen. I truly appreciate that you have allowed me to park in your driveway. It makes my crossing guard duty very pleasant. I will miss the tap and wave at the window from Helen. I look forward to seeing Bea every morning as I take my post in the future. In the past couple of years I have learned that one should treasure the wave and smile from people we meet. Especially from those we come into contact with on a daily basis. Beatrice and Helen have shown me a kindness that I will treasure always. May God Bless you and keep you.

sorry to hear about Helen's deat. I worked with her at Drs Bausch and Scholl 1965-1968. We teasingly called her Mother Supeior cause she knew where every thing as and kept track of our hours.

Helen was such a special nurse when I was a patient of Dr Scholl and Dr Bausch when I was pregnant with my sons (now 38 and 42). I cherish the angel that she made and have it in a special spot each Christmas. I always enjoyed seeing her at the Mt Vernon Road Drug Town. Gingie

I have been next door neighbors to Helen and Bea for almost 11 years. It occured to me that I have seen them every single day whether they waved at me from inside the house or out working in the yard. I don't think anyone else can say that. I have always felt blessed to have them living next door. They have always been caring, thoughtful and always concerned about me. Helen had a wonderful sense of humor and we were able to laugh at so many things. But, Helen moved to a new neighborhood with street paved with gold and I'm going to miss her but I know that one day I will see her again. God said "Well done Helen, come home". Goodbye Helen it's been my pleasure to have known you.

To Helen's family I would like to extend my sympathy. I was a little girl when I first met Helen and as I grew up I would run into her at various places around town. She always remembered me and was so interesting and easy to talk with. I know you will all miss her.

Helen was such a special lady - I knew her years ago when I was a patient of Dr. Bausch's. I thought she was an angel - as she was always so supportive and an ally when Dr. B. came down hard on a young first-time pregnant girl. One time I was in tears after seeing him - she said - "don't let him bother you - his bark is worse than his bite". It always helped! Her radiant smile was special. She will be missed and remembered by the many whose lives she touched. My sister-in-law was a good friend of hers - Geraldine Hampton. Now they are both together - probably watching over the rest of us. God bless each of you each day ahead. Love, Donna Scheer
