John G. Lidvall

To: Darlene,Steve and David I offer my sincere sympathy on the loss of your husband and father. I knew Jack from my business association at Skogman Homes, when he was the Skogman account auditor for McGladrey and I also shared a connection between my Son Kent and Steve, who were medical class graduates at University of Iowa in 1977. Jack was a true professional in every respect and I will remember him. GOD'S PEACE TO the entire family. W.Schwitzer

Dear Darlene & Family, We are terribly sorry to hear of your loss. Jack was a great man and a dear friend to our family. He and my Dad went back many years to the McGladrey days. My Dad, as well as the rest of us, appreciate the support and friendship the two of you provided over the years, especially the past few when needed the most. You have been a blessing. You are in our thoughts and prayers. The McAfee Family

Dear Mrs. Lidvall and family, I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Lidvall's passing. I am very grateful for the memories of all of the times that our families spent together when I was a child growing up in Cedar Rapids. I'm not sure that it was so great when my brother Randy and David would team up against me, but it always ended well when Mr. Lidvall and my father would come to my rescue. Thank you for those fun memories. All of my prayers and thoughts are with you. Steve

Dear Darlene, Steve and Dave: Unfortunately, due to commitments in Kansas City this week, I cannot be with you to express my sincere sympathy for Jack's passing. Both you, Darlene, and Jack were so good to visit my Dad when he was ill the last year of his life he was grateful for your friendship. Jack's attention to my Dad was a great reflection on the type of great, humble Christian we all strive to be and follow. I know he is right now hearing our Lord say, "Well done my good and faithful servant. Now enter the glory." You all will be in my prayers and may the Lord and Virgin Mother give you comfort and strength in faith at this time. In sincere sympathy, Ray Stefani II

Dear Lidvall family- I am sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I look back with fond memories of being given the responsibility as a youngster for lawn mowing and watering while Jack and Darlene traveled. These seemingly small things helped forge responsibility and independence in me as a teenager. To this day when I drive by, I still think about that young tree in the front yard that Jack always made sure to tell me to water, although I think it finally was a lost cause! With sympathy- Michael Ernst Iowa City

I was shocked and very saddened to hear about Jack's passing. I always admired him for his calm and reserved demeanor over the many years I knew him. He was a great husband to my cousin Darlene and father to their two sons, Steve & Dave. I share their grief and that of all his extended family. He will be missed.
