I never knew that when Jes finaly made a trip to Alabama with Chris a couple of months ago, that it would be the last time time I would see her. You are at the beginning of a very long and difficult journey. At times, you will feel very alone, but we want you to know that help is out there. We have found a lot of comfort from support groups, counseling, and speaking with other parents who have lost children. The support groups that would most fit your needs are New Hope, in Waterloo and Compassionate Friends, in Dubuque.

My husband and I were very saddened to hear of Jessica's passing. She was our neighbor for a number of years and we had a lot of laughs with her. She talked with me about our son going off to college and how we had to let him go. She was such a sweet person and she loved those dogs of hers. Our dogs would always chase each other and we would be running all around the neighborhood trying to get them off of each other. She was so excited about her job and being a part of something wonderful. She was always in such a good mood whenever we talked to her. Wonderful neighbor who will be missed terribly.
