Jessica M. Parmenter, 26, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday April 15, 2009 from a sudden illness. Memorial services 2:30 p.m. Monday at Morgan Creek Park in the main pavilion. Visitation will be Saturday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel from 1-6p.m.

Surviving Jessica are her grandparents, Ronald W. Miller and Marjorie L. Miller, her mother, Rhonda Butler, her father, Curtis Parmenter, brothers, Justin Parmenter, Abraham Johnson, a sister, Roxanne Johnson, an aunt, Brenda Trunecek and cousins, Nathan and Brandon Trunecek and friends, Chris Price and Nick Kemmerling.

Jessica was born September 24, 1982 in Cedar Rapids, where she lived with her grandparents and attended Prairie School. She worked for Industrial Piping as Central Plant Technology. In her spare time she worked for Safari Lounge and the Next Door. Jessica had a love for dogs. Her three dogs Otti, Mora and Chiclet were very special to her. She loved to meet people and was a friend to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
