Memorial

Pamela Marie Eaton, 51, of 2615 Schaeffer Drive NW, died Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital, after a long illness. Services: 2 p.m. Friday at Word of God For The Deaf Lutheran Church by the Rev. Mark Anderson. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Tom; two sons, Tom (Bri) Eaton Jr. of Orange City, and Jesse Eaton of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Patty (Wayne) Seymour of Dewy Rose, GA, and Joleen Remington of Coon Rapids; three brothers, Joe (Lori) Miller Jr. of Fridley, MN, Mike (Wendy) Miller of Elberton, GA, and Bob Miller of Big Lake, MN; a grandson, Caleb Eaton born in September 2008; and all her loving nieces and nephews.

Pam was born on June 3, 1957 in Omaha, NE to Joseph and Mary Miller. She married Thomas Eaton on August 8, 1975 in Cedar Rapids. Pam attended Iowa School for the Deaf in Council Bluffs and eventually graduated from Kennedy High School. She was an avid bowler with various Deaf leagues. Pam displayed an artistic ability for quilting, knitting and crocheting. She loved to work on projects that challenged her creative mind. She was very social, she could be found playing cards with people she cared about or just spending quality time with them. Her passion for children demonstrates her love for life. She will be missed by many in the Deaf and hearing communities.
