Donald Friedman, 53, of Cedar Rapids passed away Friday March 20, 2009 in his home of a heart ailment. Memorial Services will be private.
Survivors include his father Emmett Friedman of Marion, four brothers; Steve (Sue) Friedman of Fort Atkinson, WI, Chuck (Kay) Friedman of Cedar Rapids, Jeff (Laura) Friedman of Mt. Vernon and a twin Doug (Denise) Friedman of Geneva, IL and three sisters, Ann (Larry) DeGroodt of Lake St. Louis, MO, Jean (Brian) Philipp of Swansea, IL and June (James) Tipton of Marion.
His mother preceded him in death.
Donald Joseph Friedman was born March 16, 1956 in Cedar Rapids to Emmett and Germaine Friedman. He enjoyed running and ran several marathons. He relaxed by listening to jazz and reading poetry. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and USC and loved family gatherings. He will be dearly missed.
