Memorial

Ricky L. Clark, 49, of 514 18th Street SE, died Thursday, March 19, 2009, at University Hospital in Iowa City of complications from a transplant. Services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday in Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Rev. Rufus Johnson will officiate. Additional services and burial will be held in Huntington, Tennessee. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 PM Tuesday in Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home and at the chapel after 10 AM on Wednesday

He leaves to cherish his memory, Cassandra Gibson, two children, daughter Arielle and son Zachary Gibson, two sisters Patricia (George) Colbert of Mesa, Arizona, and Ginger Hamilton-Roach of Lavinia, Tenn, a brother Robert Hamilton Jr. of Independence, Iowa, Aunt Dorothy Clark of Lavinia, Tenn., two uncles Ozie Clark of Lavinia, Tenn., and Frank Clark of Fulton, Kentucky, nieces, Crystal Roach, Bridgette Johnson, Cedar Rapids, IA., Candace Williams and Cyera Reeves, and nephews Donta Colbert, Mesa, Arizona, David Roach Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Austin Williams, a great nephew Keenan Backstrom, and a host of cousins, friends, and acquaintances. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ethel Clark Hamilton.

Ricky was born June 17, 1959 in Milan, Tennessee. He was employed by International Paper for many years. He was a member of the I.A.M. Local 831 Union. He enjoyed barbequing and being with his family. Ricky was a devoted father, kind hearted, and touched many people in a very special way. He will be missed dearly by those who knew him.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for the family.
