Dear Sherri, Your grandpa was a wonderful person. I remember when he spoke at church camp when we were kids. He came to visit when I was in the hospital. And of course he was a Cub fan! Love, Kim

Naomi, What a wonderful and Godly man your father was. So many of us at BCC were blessed to listen to his 'stories' of life and his love for God! Certainly, we will all miss Bernard but can take comfort and rejoice in his Homegoing to Heaven! God bless you all.....Pastor Larry Peterson

Dear Irene, George and Family, I remember the good friendship my Dad, Carl, had with Bernard. I loved their story telling and the times they shared bits of family information. Since coming to Florida, you set the opportunity for me to see Bernard and your mother, Opal again. On an even more recent occasion we were able to meet Linda. These occasions with your Dad and family have awakened wonderful past times. Thank you for making the effort to share Bernard with us. He truly is/was a kind spirited, good natured, jovial minister of God's. Love, Dick & Jo-Ann Reece

Pastor Reece was truly a "pastor" in every sense of the word. He cared for his flock. He visited at the hospital when others were too busy. He would always take time for people and to listen and try to comfort them. I'm so glad he is finally able to be with Opal again! He really missed her as we will miss him. How blessed his family was to have his love and guidance through the years.

When i heard about pastor reece passing on the childhood memory of him put a smile on my face. He was the man with the carmel candies; always giving me one in the halls at church.

Hello all, I didn't know him well, but was fortunate to spend time with Bernard before, during, and after the funeral service for my grandfather Carl Reece in Cedar Rapids about 20 years ago. I had a small role to play in the service and Bernard guided this spiritually-young Christian in crafting a few words into a brief homage. He struck me as being sensitive, wise, and even witty. Sounds like he lived a very full and satisfying life, and I'm sure Bernard's reward is great. All His best to all of you, Rick Reece
