Dear Gayle and Family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We are deeply saddened by Ann's passing and will miss her tremendously. We appreciate the great memories she and your entire family have brought ours, especially Delaney having her very own Cedar Rapids' Grandparents and spending time at your place eating desserts and riding Bob. Please let us know if there is anything we can do now and later, as we care about you and have always appreciated having your care and compassion come across the fence. Once again, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family ~ Debra, Kent & Delaney Steenblock

Yesterday I received the card asking for pictures. This morning when I sat down at the computer to write a note to send was when I received the message about Gail Ann's death. I am sorry. I have prayed for her daily. But I also know she is now with the Lord and out of pain. I will still send the pictures and hope you all will enjoy the memories. Judie Sewell Saunders

We extend to you our deepest sympathy. Please be asssured that God is providing for Ann. May you have a keen sense of God's loving care and comfort in these days as you are trying to adjust to your great loss. We are most grateful for the great service she rendered to St. Paul's UMC as the librarian. She served in that capacity all the time that I was a minister there and she was always very helpful to me. She faithfully attended staff meetings and I know from that, that she was very helpful to everyone on the staff. Each time on GAGBROT when we wear the brown teeshirts we will remember Ann. We had a great time together on those bike rides. She will be greatly missed. Blessings on you Gayle and on your entire family.

Dear Buroker Family, I have admired your family ever since Garrett was in my First Grade class at Pierce. Since then, I have known Ann in UMW, Ruth Circle and Book Club. I enjoyed our many visits during the times she generously offered rides to these events. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I hope you can find peace in knowing she will always be a model to us of a life well-lived.

I was so surprised to see the obituary for Ann in the Gazette. We used to see each other occasionally when our kids were younger and I lived on Red Bud Rd. But we had lost touch and I didn't even know that she had cancer. I do remember her as a wonderful person and mother - very kind - always had a smile - warm and friendly. May she now enjoy her eternal life.

Dear Gayle and family: My thoughts and prayers are with you all as we mourn the loss of Ann from this world and from our daily lives. Ann was an amazing woman and brightened all of our days. I credit her for enriching more of my life than I can honestly assess. She took an interest in me as a child at a time when I thought only my own mother could offer such compassion. Even as a teenager, she again surprised me by surfacing a thank you card I had written to her in first grade (complete with the appropriate penmanship) which she had saved that whole time! I have no doubt she has touched the lives of countless others and we are all immeasurably better for having her in our lives. Thank you for sharing her with us all! God Bless, Tracy McGee

To the Buroker and Oberholtzer families, Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss of Gail. Although I was just eleven when Gayle and Gail married, I had a good feeling about the family because my parents, Bob and Ruth, always held Obie and Ruth in such high regard. They admired Gail and Jack as well. Mom wanted me to be a nurse, just like Gail. Nursing was not my calling, but Jack's wife, Jean, influenced me to take active Church education roles and become a Montessori preschool teacher. I know you have lost a lovely lady and will cherish the memories.
