Nancy Ann Rudd, 79, of 2801 Teresa Dr. SW, died Sunday, March 1, 2009, in Mercy Medical Center, surrounded by her family. Services will be held at 11 AM Thursday in Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Rev. Harlan Gillespie of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church will officiate. Private entombment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 PM Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home and at the chapel after 10:30 AM on Thursday.

Survivors include five sons, Robert Jr. and wife Carol Rudd of Seattle, Washington, David, Tracy and wife Sue of Cedar Rapids, Thomas and wife Jody of Ely, and Richard and wife Chris, and former daughter in law Vickie Rudd, all of Cedar Rapids, brother George Pealer Jr. and wife Patricia, sister Patricia Lee and husband Roland, and brother Jerry Pealer, eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and her pet Toby. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Sr., a brother John Pealer and two sisters, Barbara Simmer and infant sister Jean Pealer.

Nancy was born October 13, 1929 in Davenport, Iowa, to George and Mildred Walter Pealer. She married Robert W. Rudd Sr. on April 17, 1948, in Cedar Rapids. He died July 5, 2004. She had worked in customer service at the Nissen Trampoline Company. She was a member of the grasshopper golf group. She enjoyed knitting, and doing crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed playing bingo, farkle, and spending time with her family.
