At one time or another, Dick was my supervisor, mentor, and friend in St. Joseph, Missouri, where we met, and later in Wayzata, Minnnesota, where we both happened to live and raise our families. I talked to him just prior to his trip to California and we had planned to get together soon. I just finished reading it and had hoped to discuss it with him; this just doesn't seem possible. Or fair. Today is March 22 and almost a month since Dick died (and just fourteen years since our first date!)
