Gene and family, our hearts are very heavy this morning. Ed awakened me with Jane's obituary on our computer screen. I have lost a dear friend whom I always loved and admired. She was a wonderful Mom, wife and truly wonderful friend to me. We regret that we are in Palm Springs, CA for 2 more weeks and so sorry we cannot be there for her services, but our hearts are there with you. Ardyce and Ed Brunsting

Dear Ilten Family, I was so sad to hear of the loss of Jane to your family. Jane and the rest of your family have been such an important part of our family's lives for so many years. I know my grandparents have been so lucky to have such wonderful friends in Gene and Jane. I hope that you find peace in the memories that you keep. May she rest in peace. I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Jane's passing. I will forever remember her. My memory of her is one of a smiling face. Her smile and eyes always twinkled. There was never a time that she was not smiling. Gene, I am thinking of you. Raili

May He bring you comfort in your time of sadness. I have so many wonderful memories of Jane and all of you. Didn't she iron outside in the sun? She was a beautiful woman and she will be missed. Dear Gene, Cousins, & Janet, With sorrow I heard of Jane's death today. I'm grateful that I was able to bring Mom for a visit in April 2004. We enjoyed having Jane give us a tour of Cedar Rapids & it was fun to listen to Mom, Janet & Fr. David reminisce with Jane & Gene. She will be greatly missed but there is comfort knowing she is no longer in distress & is in peace with her family in their afterlife. Love Janet & family

I want to extend my deepest sympathy to you Gene and your family, in the loss of Jane (wife, Mother and Grandmother), who was such a joy in this great family. I remember well the day Gene and Jane met, at a Walther League Convention in Waterloo, back in the 1940's, as well as always seeing Jane in the kitchen working at every church supper or lunch that was being held at Trinity - great memories! I have truly enjoyed time shared with you Gene, at all the OWLS lunches on Thursdays, ever since it got started...hope to continue seeing you there in the future. My most heartfelt regards go out to you all. Sincerely, Ed Le Clere and family
