Jane M. Ilten, 84, a resident of the Meth-Wick Community, died Wednesday February 11, 2009 in the Woodlands following a long illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jonathan Offt. Visitation will be today from 4-7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel and after 10:00 a.m. at the church on Saturday.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Eugene, her children, Steven (Daniella) Ilten of Merlin, Oregon, Barbara (Marlan) Morse of Center Point, Oregon, Jay (Barbra) Ilten of Holy Cross, Iowa and Jeff (Terri) Ilten of Cedar Rapids, a sister, Janet Powell of Cedar Rapids, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Jane was born June 4, 1924 in Newhall, the daughter of George and Anna Peterson Wheeler. She married Eugene Robert Ilten on December 10, 1944 in Cedar Rapids. June was a homemaker and took great pride in caring for her family. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in the Missionary and sewing group. Jane was a caring and loving person who touched many lives. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
