I am sorry about the loss of your loved one. Words cannot describe feelings in a time like this. Many have found comfort in the Bible's promises of seeing our past loved ones again such as at John 5 verses 28 and 29. Take care of yourselves and keep memories of your past loved one close.

Dr. Holcomb was my orthodontist in Cedar Rapids when I was a kid. He was always very nice and took the time to tell me what to expect with my braces. May he rest in peace with the angels.

What a gentleman! He will be missed. I rented an apartment from Dr. H for about 5 years and thought he was the greatest.

Where does one begin to capture with words ALL that Dr. Holcomb was to so very many? Of all the older adults with the greatest inlfuence on my life, he and my father top the list. And what truly fond friends they were for so long. I had the privilege of talking to Al about many things for over 30 years and never once did he give me unsound advice or condescend even when my then youthful questions and naive opinions must have sometimes amused him. As a gifted conversationalist, an unflinching helpmate and a wise, wise man I think of him daily with the utmost respect and love. I think a more loyal family friend could not exist. And I am filled with gratitude to have been counted among those friends. On behalf of my parents, John Koffron (1909-1985) and Virginia Koffron (1913-1999) I offer our sympathies with deepest respect. Marcia Koffron Mackenbrock Naperville, IL
