I was so saddened when I heard of Dees passing, and cannot imagine how difficult this must be for all of you. Dee and I met over 13 years ago through the childcare program at New Covenant. I always looked forward to the times I knew I was going to be able to work with her. She had such a wonderful sense of humor and we shared lots of laughter together. It is these wonderful times I will forever hold on to. Her unwavering faith, strength and courage are to be admired and I feel I am a better person for knowing her. I find great comfort in knowing Dee is in a much better place. Her pain is completely gone. A smile is brought to my face, as I know God met her with His arms opened wide as He said, Welcome home. Well done my good and faithful servant. As you go through this most challenging grieving process, my prayer for you is that you will feel the presence of our Lord, as He too shares your pain.

I grew up next door to the Johnsons and knew Dee most of my life, but I got to know her better while doing childcare with her at New Covenant, and always enjoyed getting to spend that time with her. I will miss her and was very saddened to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Dear Doug, Jamie, Kip and Anna The half has yet to be told, the huge investment that both you Doug, and Dee made in my life. I can't thank you enough. It has touched not only my life, but my children as well. You were like parents to me. Thank you so much for everything. Anna, you call whenever... for anything. I am here to support you like your mom did for me. We love you so much and are praying for all of you! Love you-

Uncle Doug, Jamie, Kip and Anna, I'm gonna miss Aunt Dee so much... we've all had such good times. From all the times we spent at your house on Vine Ave watching movies, eating popcorn, swimming in the pool, having family get-togethers and more. It won't be the same again without Aunt Dee. I am praying for you and am so glad that she now has a new body in heaven! Let's stick together the rest of our journey this side of heaven! Love you-

Doug, Anna, Kip & Jamie, I grieve with you at the loss of your wife and mother. I loved her like a daughter and will miss her lethal sense of humor, her strength in the Lord, and wisdom that could only come from God Himself. I'll always treasure the times she and I spent together. You are and will be in my prayers in the days and months ahead. I'm very sorry to have missed the Celebration of her Life today .. but coming back from Florida just wasn't in the cards. Blessings,

Doug and family, Dee was a delightful, generous-hearted person who overcame many difficulties in earthly life and was a testimony to others through them. I rejoice with you that she is now in the presence of the Lord she loved, free of pain and hardships, but I also grieve with you as you miss her so deeply. I loved the slide show tribute you made of the Dee we all knew and loved--it was wonderful. May God be your comfort. Sharon Barrett

I just want to say how sad I was when I saw Dee's picture on-line. I was actually looking for someone else. I remember both of her foster moms and how much they loved each other. It will be a day of rejoicing when we all see Jesus! Blessings upon you all!
