Raymond Horace Garnant
I will miss Ray's out of the blue calls to inquire if I had read an article in the paper, heard a piece of music on IPR, what did I think of a piece symphony has played. Not lenghty, just a connetion. I will miss his curious mind. Joye Winey

For the CA Garnants, there is now one less Garnant and an important one. Cousin Ray will be remembered as a humble veteran and proud Iowan. He was also a a fervent Family Tree devotee and my Sis Julie and I will remember the long telephone calls as to how many distant relatives we had. We would love to be there, possilby soon, but a few flowers will represent us in our sincerest condolences to Barbara, their family, other cousin Maurice and his family.... Lord willing, we'll see ya soon Cousin...

It was in Iowa City in 1943 that we became acquainted with Ray. We were in the same ROTC unit under Major Obey and from there off to service in WWII. Those days of friendship with Ray are remembered well. Ray was a great friend. Ray will be missed. Darwin B. Jack Oelwein, Iwoa
