Louene Emelia Heitman, 81, of 4420 F Ave NE, died Thursday November 13, 2008 in Northbrook Care Center following a long illness. Services: 1:00 p.m. Monday at St. Andrew Lutheran Church by the Rev. Dr. T. Edwards Breed, and Vicar. Deborah Thompson. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Earl Heitman, two sons, Steven Paul Heitman of Rockland, Michigan, Robert Wayne Heitman of Cedar Rapids, and a brother, Paul Wetzlich of Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Virginia Jean Witmer.
Louene was born March 16, 1927 in Dunkerton, the daughter of Louis and Elsie Strempke Wetzlich. She married Earl E. Heitman on July 6, 1947 in Waterloo. Louene worked in sales for the Sears Company. She was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church.
