** Zola M. Weldon, 86, of 3105 Campfire Rd. near Walker died at the home of a friend in Ryan on Thursday Nov. 6, 2008 after a brief illness. Memorial services at 11 AM on Tuesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Inurnment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include two daughters, Lynne Weldon of Boulder, Colorado and Anne (Eugene) Butz of Robins, a sister, Eileen McCormack of Huntington Beach, California and two brothers, Charles Stratton of Seattle, Washington and Wayne Stratton of Tiffin. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Patrick, Laura, Timothy, Eric, Darla, Kim and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick.
Zola was born on Feb. 18, 1922 in Oxford, the daughter of Frederick and Anna Wagner Stratton. She married Patrick J. Weldon on Dec. 21, 1940 in Marengo. He died in 2002. Zola was a baker and worked for Bishops Buffett for several years. She was a member of the Troy Mills garden Club and was a Lady Elk. Zola had a great sense of humor and was always there when someone needed her. She will be greatly missed by her friends and beloved family. The family would like to give a special thanks to Tressie and JoEllen for the loving care given to Zola. A memorial fund has been established.
