Marilyn and Christine, Your mother/grandmother,lived for years in a duplex on Victoria Dr. that our father owned. Since his death,we've retained ownership and got to know your mom/grandmother. She was a wonderful lady, we always enjoyed visiting with her and hated to see her leave us. We were so sad to hear of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you both. Marilyn, don't know if you remember me and my family - name was Cheryl Swore and lived next door to you at 387 12th Ave SW. I'm sorry to hear of your mom's passing. My mom Bernice died in 1975 of cancer and dad Earl in 1993 of pneumonia. Will never forget how nice your mom always was to me when she babysat with me. The old neighborhood doesn't look so good these days but still standing. I'm glad you had her for so long. I'll never forget "Pinky, Mae and Marilyn Kay". It's nice to remember those "old, old" days. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Cheryl

Marilyn and Chris, I happened to live in the duplex next to the one your mother/grandmother lived on Victoria Dr SW in Cedar Rapids. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was real nice lady. I remember some of our conversations we had and a few times that I have taken her to her medically related appointments and to the beauty shop at one time. I really hated to see her move, but knew it was time. When I did have talks with Mae, she always refer to you two as her "girls". I really missed her after she movd to California. Valorie Bowman

Marilyn and Chris, We are sorry to hear of your mothers passing. Mae was such a loyal and caring friend to Jane. Mae and Jane keep in touch with each other every day, until Jane had to go to a nursing home. This will be hard to inform Jane of Mae's passing. Please accept our condolences.

Marilyn and Chris, We are very sorry for your loss of your mother and grandmother. Aunt Mae always loved to get the updated pictures of our kids every Christmas in the cards we sent her. Jerry has some fond memories of her from his childhood that we will not forget. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Sincerely, Jerry and Amy Robinson, Decorah, Iowa
