My heartfelt sympathy to Mr Fredericksen and especially to Jean, Peggy and Kim. Your mom was so good to us Maxey girls growing up. I'll always remember the fun sleepovers at your house - in particular, the time I woke your mom up and told her how homesick I was and she walked me 'all the way' back home - across the ditch and one street ! I so enjoyed visiting with Carolyn when I'd see her regularly at Panera in recent years. She was so proud of you girls and her grandchildren. She was always upbeat and cheerful. When I think of your mom, I think of a warm, smiling lady full of love for her family. I hurt for your loss and I am holding your family in my prayers. Elizabeth Maxey Ray

Don and Families We are so sorry to hear of Carolyn passing. We have admired Carolyn’s talent with crafts and with her hands. She did such beautiful work and enjoyed every minute. She was so proud of her family. She sent us a picture of the new addition Sofi. What a sweet dog. Always hold onto and treasure the memories. As you share this time of sorrow as a family, may you draw strength and hope from one another, remembering your loved one’s life together. Those we love shine on. Cherished as you honor your Father. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire families through this rough time. Lots of love and hugs Bob and Dixie Pinch Henderson, NV.

Kim and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how much it hurts to lose those you love, and especially when it is your mother. Hold her memory close and may you find comfort in knowing she is at peace now and free from suffering. I enjoyed water aerobics with her at the Marion YMCA and glad I got to know her. She was fun. You and your dad and all your family will be in my prayers.

To the family of Carolyn Frederickson, I was reading the Marion Times this evening and was saddened to see that Carolyn had passed away. It was her picture that caught my eye for she had been a participant in water aerobics when I taught that class years ago at the Marion Y. I always enjoyed the stories we shared before and after class. On occasion, we went out for breakfast or dessert after class. I moved to Kansas for 5 years but when returned to Marion she recognized me at a Novak concert and welcomed me back. It was good to see a familiar face. I don't know if she still went to the Y for an occasional swim, but that is what I have fond memories of. She was a very nice person and a pleasure to know. My heartfelt condolences, Mary Kerr
