Fred R. Donisthorpe, 55, of Waterloo, died Thursday October 16, 2008 at Allen Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Services: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel where friends may call after 1:00 p.m. The Rev. William B. Harnish will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Fredrick Rollin Donisthorpe was born June 8, 1953 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Frederick J. and Helen (Heald) Donisthorpe. He grew up in Cedar Rapids but has lived at Country View Care Center in Waterloo for the past nineteen years.

He is survived by his sister, Carol (Gus) Glaser of Chatfield, MN; his nephew, Chad (Heather) Glaser of Dexter, MN, his niece, Dawn (Gary) Schad of Chatfield, MN; three great nieces and two great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his grandparents Frederick S. (Freda) Donisthorpe and Rollin (Verlie) Heald.
