Mary A. Williams, 77, of Willow Gardens died there on Saturday Oct. 11, 2008 after a long illness. Memorial Service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories where friends may register after Noon on Tuesday. Inurnment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include three daughters, Sylvia (Jim) Blood of Marion, Sandra Barger of Swisher, and Amy Mcleoud of Marion; five sons, Clarence (Hermette) Burrows of Chesapeake, Virginia, David Burrows of Texas, Don Burrows of Marion, Kevin (Cindy) Burrows of Cedar Rapids, Charles Williams of Marion and one brother, Ellis Stonerook of Tipton. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and a sister, Sarah.
Mary was born on April 15, 1931 in Clarence, the daughter of Clarence and Beatrice Easterly Stonerook. She married Ralph Burrows in 1950. The were later divorced. She then married Charles Williams in 1960. He died in 1964. Mary worked in assembly at Rockwell-Collins and retired from there after 35 years of service. She also owned and operated Madon’s Restaurant in Marion for a number of years. She was a member of IBEW Local 1362. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, crossword puzzles and especially time spent with her family. Memorial donations may be given to Hospice of Mercy in Mary’s name.
