Daniel J. Semelroth, 57, of 924 15th St SW, died Thursday September 18, 2008 in Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy following a long illness. Services: 10:00 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, where friends may call on Sunday from 4-6 p.m. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Joan Erbe will officiate.
Survivors include his mother, Amy Semelroth of Cedar Rapids, his aunt, uncles, cousins and friends.
His father, Howard Semelroth preceded him in death.
Daniel was born July 5, 1951 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Howard and Amy Semelroth. Daniel worked for MCI. He was a member of the Cedar Rapids Islamic Center and attended Trinity Lutheran Church. Daniel enjoyed sports and the Chicago Cubs was his favorite. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
