Janice L. Jorgenson, 88, 2030 1st Ave NE died Thursday, September 19, 2008 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy following a brief illness. Services: 3:00 PM Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories by The Rev. Beth Straw. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Sunday from 2PM to 5PM.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia McDowell Bud of Cedar Rapids and Lynda Wild of Clear Lake; a grandson, Brian Wise; a granddaughter, Amy Wise; five great grandchildren, Blake Wise, Alex Wise, Joshua Wise, Zakk Wise and Quinn Wise; several step-children and step-grandchildren; and all of her good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert; a grandson, John Wise; two sisters and two brothers.
Janice was born July 7, 1920 in Miltonville the daughter of Henry and Leona Mae Wiley Larson. She married Robert Wild on July 20, 1941 in Cedar Rapids. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, the church choir and several church groups.
A memorial fund has been established.
