Dear JoAnne and Zip, I was so sorry to hear about Roger. I never met him and yet feel as though I have always known him. What a wonderful man he must have been. Barb Mead

Dear Howard and Joann, I can hardly believe Roger is gone. I loved him very much. He was like my older brother. As a child growing up, I will never forget his patience with the little neighborhood pest that always loved to visit him because he was so kind and always had time for her.

I first met Roger via CB radio as the fifth cousin. Through Tom Eggleston I was then able to visit him in his home and found him to be one of the most courageous men I have ever known and a delight to visit with. While I was not close to him, I admired him greatly. He was a fine man. He will be missed. Glenn Brown... The County Line Farmer.

Dear Rogers Family, I knew Roger when I worked at United State/Hawkeye/Mercantile/Firstar bank. He was always cheerful and so polite. We would wave to him when he would go to the mailbox and as he headed to the Avenue for something. My deepest sympathy in your loss. Sincerely Judy Manning
