Dear Bill and Family,
We are so very sorry Marnie has passed away. She was such a happy, vivacious woman. Her dedication to education was exemplary. She was a great "teacher" as a parent and a great teacher to others.
When I was a teacher, I was inspired by the parties Marnie and Bill has for the teachers of their sons. When I was finally a parent, we did special things for the teachers of our children too. Marnie was a great role model.
We hope your family, friends, faith and good memories will sustain you at this time.
We will miss her dazzling smile.
Sincerely,
Juli and Marty

Dan, our prayers go out to you and your family. I pray that in this time you can celebrate her life more than you grieve her loss. As I read, of what I'm sure is only a few of her many accomplishments, it made me realize how important one person can be to this world.

Dear Fletchers,
We were saddened to hear of you loss. Marnie was a special wife, mother, and grandmother and you were all so lucky to have her in your lives. Having gone through a similar experience recently we understand the ordeal of watching a loved one slip away. Please take heart in the wonderful times that you all have shared and embrace Marnie's zest for life in your daily lives. We wish you the peace that comes from knowing how much she loved all of you and the love you all have for her.

Bill, Dan and Andy,
I have so many wonderful memories of my 4 years as the "college girl" in your home. What I learned from your wonderful family I have shared with others. Marnie served as my mentor in so many ways, and she will always be with me through what I gained from her.
We have all been blessed to have been part of her life. She taught us to see and live the beauty of others.

My sincere condolences to you and your family, Bill. I always enjoyed seeing Marnie at Coe events. You two were a wonderful, loving couple. Although the love of your life is no longer here on earth, the memories you shared will warn your heart as it heals little by little in the days to come. God bless.

Andy, Dan and Bill . . . I have great memories of Mrs. Fletcher's wonderful hospitality at her home and at the lake house. She always made everyone feel welcomed, and her dedication and patience as she taught 14 boys, in her basement, a ballet for our talent show at McKinley and Wash, which under her direction, brought down the house. My prayers are with all of you.

Bill and family,
I wanted to send my deepest sympathy in the loss of Marnie to you Bill. I remember her being so gracious at the "golf outings for parents" at the Lake Cabin at the end of the golf seasons each year and we so looked forward to seeing you all there each year. I am sure you have many wonderful memories and treasure them always. You are and will always be a very special person in our lives, Bill and the wonderful lessons in life you taught your golfers will always be remembered as well. Mike treasures you and Marnie so much and we do likewise. I hope to see you again someday and I love your cabin on the Lake and if you ever need a caretaker for it, Call Me!!
Marnie will be remembered in special ways by the Tisingers from West Branch.
With sincere sympathy in this time of loss and sadness,

I am sorry I won't be able to make it Tuesday, but my thoughts are with you all. Aunt Marnie will certainly be missed...below is an Irish quote that I have always liked. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."

It is with a great deal of fondness that I recall the "vibe" in the Fletcher household that I experienced as a friend of Matt's. Mrs. Fletcher ALWAYS made me feel welcome and was a torch light of energy and joy. My thoughts and prayers are with all the Fletchers.

Half of one of the most amazing couples I have had the joy of knowing is now in heaven. I will forever remember Bill and Marnie winning "The Anniversary Dance" at a bank party in Cedar Rapids and my own dance with her during my wedding in Princeton, New Jersey. She smiled at me and said, "I love you". That is what she was about, fun, commitment and love.
To the entire Fletcher family, our deepest condolences and our profound thanks for allowing us to know Marnie.

Dearest Bill, Daniel, and Andrew...Marnie is and will continue to be an incredible life force. Certainly, in my life, she was someone I aspired to be more like...a woman who marched to her own drum; who relished the abundance of each day and the gifts god had bestowed upon her. How can someone think of Marnie Fletcher and not break into utter, joyous, blessed laughter?! The kind of laughter that reminds you that love is deep, god is real and life is good.
My precious Bill... you were blessed with God's bounty in sharing your life with your beautiful girlfriend; your songbird; the love of your life. You are a man who gives everything he has to those he loves and have been a divine influence on others in your devotion to Marnie, Dan, Matt and Andy, and your entire family. It was a joy and a gift for me to share and experience the love and life between the two of you.
I love you all...Lucy Craig
