To the Griffeth family, I am saddened to hear of Pastor Griffeth's death. I pray that you will get this message as I wrote one previously, but for some reason it did not go through. Pastor was a part of Lloyd's and my marriage at the Catholic church in Bellevue. I can remember when we all attended Jenny and Andreas gymnastics meets together. We all have fond memories of Pastor. I pray for your family. Kathleen Thola Clinton, Iowa

Our deepest sympathy goes out to your family. We have many fond memories of Pastor Fran from Our Saviors. We were so happy he could make it to Jamie's graduation and our 25th Wedding Anniversary celebration. We are sorry we are unable to attend the celebration of life service -- his life has much to celebrate because he touched so many. We will remember Pastor Fran and his family in our prayers.
God's Peace,

Dear Brent, Jenny and families,
I am so sorry you had to say so long to your Dad at such a young age. I want you to know that our family has always loved Pastor Fran. He has been a special friend for a long time.
When Kevin was confirmed, Pastor Fran let me pick the hymns for the day and the choir anthem "This Little Light Of Mine" and he let my twin sister, Jean, and I sing a duet and my Dad sang a solo too.
The next year, when Sarah was confirmed, he let me do it all again.
He sat with my family in January of 1999 when I had heart surgery. He even sent me a plant.
He wasn't sure if he should be with us at the hospital as he did not want to step on anyone's toes. We had a new pastor by then. I told him he wouldn't be there as our pastor, but as a friend of the family. As it turned out, the new pastor only came to the hospital the night before my surgery.
I wish I would have told him about our new granddaughter who was born in February and I wish I could tell him about hour Grandson who was born yesterday. He always cared how Kevin and Sarah were doing.
Take care and you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerly,
The Wey family,

Please accept my sympathies in the death of Francis Griffith (Pastor Fran). He was pastor at Our Savior's Lutheran in Cedar Rapids where my twin sister, Jeanette Wey,is a member. I spent a lot of time in Cedar Rapids over the years and got to know Pastor Fran. In fact, I liked him so much that I asked him to marry my husband and I in front of my sister and her husband, Terry's Christmas tree, which he did almost 15 years ago now. I will never forget what a wonderful, meaningful day that was. I will miss Pastor Fran's quick whit too. As an aside, which you may already know, Jeanette and I grew up in Spooner, Wisconsin. Our oldest sister, Marie Lawrence works at the pharmacy counter at Red Cross and has been there for years.
Anyway, I will miss Pastor Fran's voice and smile. We do have our wedding on videotape. I better look at it again. Pastor Fran loved the vows I wrote for Paul's and my wedding. I wish I could say we lived them out to perfection but, alas, we are humans and none of us perfect. I shall look forward to seeing you in heaven one day, Pastor Fran.

I have known "Rev" for a year and a half and have helped with his care. But, he has helped me as well. He always had a way of putting things so that it would help you put things in perspective. He cared so much for people and you could see that in everything he did.
I will miss his wit and fun. And yes........definitely, his lasagna.
My thoughts and prayers are with you!

I had the pleasure helping in Rev's care for the past year. He was, by far, one of my absolute favorite people to sit and talk with. He would always have a joke or a witty saying, and I will forever remember his laugh. And his lasagna! He will be missed ... but never forgotten.
We love you, Griff!!
