Brenda and Family, I just saw in the paper today that your Father has passed on, and want you to know that I am thinking about you and your family. I have wonderful memories of your Dad, like leg wrestling at the Tobacco Bowl; and so many other happy moments. Thinking of you all. Love, Kathy

My thoughts and prayers are with the Connolly family. Your father visited me in New York just a few years ago. He always made me laugh. He was a good friend of Jim Chposky my late husband who passed away 11 years ago. Tom's IC classmates have stayed so close all these years and have keep in touch. I hope to visit CR one day again. My deepest sympathy for your loss. Judith Witt

I have so many wonderful memories of Papa Tom and Mama Jolene. Met you all at the Tobacco Bowl. Loved hanging out with the folks, Brenda, Tommy, Paul and Erin. You welcomed me into your family, thank you! I remember hugs, Brenda’s wedding, playing kissy face with baby Steven, almost losing Erin Shmerin to CO poison, and fabulously loving and joyful family celebrations. The Connolly legacy of love for others lives in the children as shown when they collected donations to ship back to CR for flood victims. My deepest sympathy to you all for your loss.

I met Tom in 2001. He was a charmer. I learned the value of volunteering from him. He was blessed to have such a caring family. I was warmed to see that the love of helping others was passed on to his grandchildren when I heard about Catherine's efforts to collect donations for the flood victims of Cedar Rapids. May you all rest in the assurance of a risen Savior.

The Connolly family, and Tom in particular, have always created a warm spot in my heart. I had the honor of delivering a number of his grandchildren when his daughters had the faith and trust in me over 20 years ago. I initially met Tom after walking out to announce to the family of a new grandchild. He accepted me as a friend to the family then. Through the years we continued our friendship,,I regret I had not seen him over the past 4 years, but will always hold him and the family in highest esteem. Thank you Tom, I have no met anyone who was so giving. Rest well!
