Peter D. Carper

I worked in a caregiver capacity with Peter for 4 years when he resided at Story County Community Life. I always enjoyed going to work with Peter. He had a smile on his face and had a positive outlook on life. Years later I would periodically run into Peter in the Ames community and he always remembered me and had a hug and a smile waiting. He was truly a sweet, genuine, caring soul who enriched and touched everyone who was privileged enough to know him. He will truly be missed. - Tami Wilson

Brytni and I remember Peter so very fondly. He was always cheerful and had that winning "Peter smile". He was dear to many at Memorial Lutheran Church in Ames where he was a very regular worshipper. We have missed him since he took up residence at Bethany Manor in Story City. His faith in Christ has given him our sure reward of heaven. He was loved by so many.

We enjoyed talking with Peter each Sunday at Memorial Lutheran Church. His smile and laughter were contagious, even on bad days Peter made us smile and reflect on ways that he always made others have a better day. We will miss him a great deal. Our deapest sympathy.

Peter Carper. What can you say? Words cannot express the enormous loss we face at Story County Community Life without his smiling face. Peter was the first person that I had met in the program and will always be a lasting part of my life.
