Helen played Bridge with my mother Delphine Torgler at our home in C.R.. She was always smiles and had a very positive attitude. I will miss her a lot.

A Life Well Lived Helen was the spark that lit up a room. I recall fondly all of her jokes told at Elk's Special Events. I marveled at her memory and sharp wit. How will we ever sort the clothing section of the Elk's Garage Sale? This was HER job and she loved it so. It was a privilege to work with her and know her. You, her family, consider yourself blessed. We will miss her.

We will miss our visits with Helen on return trips to Cedar Rapids. She was always cheerful and upbeat, never complaining, and always interested in what was important in the lives of her friends. Helen's memory was always sharp recalling the mischief the Center Point Road neighborhood kids instigated. She will be greatly missed. Our condolences to Nancy, Reg, Gary, and family.

Nancy, My thoughts are with you in the loss of your mother. Her life was certainly full of stimulating activities, but at that age just as my Mom, they are tired and fatigued of just getting through each day. May all the fond memories comfort all of you. Your Friend, Mary Taylor

Dear Karl, I'm sure you will not remember me. I was a couple grades behind you, and I believe you were a friend of my brother? It has been so many years since our days at good ole Garfield Grade School. However, I clearly remember your mother. She was such a wonderful and loving person. As a young girl, she was so kind and attentive to me, I will never forget her loving manner. I send my condolences to you and your entire family at this time. I just lost my own mother last May.
