Reuben I Olson
I extend my deepest sympathy to all the members of the Reuben Olson family. I became acquainted with Reuben in 1999 when he started teaching the Masters Class at the MAC. I was always amazed at the vast knowledge that he brought to the class. Through Reuben's teachings I was able to learn and enjoy Pilates, tai chi, Bagua, silk reeling, yoga and various other disciplines. Reben was one of a kind and will truly be missed by me and all the members of the MAC Master Class

this is a shock for us as we are out of town and Reuben pasted away at our South Club location. He was in his comfort zone as he loved teaching and his following at both south and xtreme locations. Reuben had a bonding with many and we know all those that participated in his class will be morning the most. He loved life and all he could do to help others. He should of been on OPRAH!!! Our thoughts and prayers goes out to his family and thank them for sharing him with The M.A.C. for over 10 yrs. God calls us home when it's the perfect time!! Ray....thank you for welcoming Reuben into the gates of Heaven!!! Wayne & Jackie Meier President & Vice President Midwest Athletic Club

I just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know how much we've been thinking of you guys this past couple days. This was such a shock, he was so young and full of life. As you know, we only met Reuben a few times, but he made an impression. He was so fun to have around and just a sweet and interesting man. I'm so sorry for you loss. Sending love and condolences, The Kincaids

Dear Reuben, I will miss you so much. I will miss the hello's, smiles, and the talks. Talking to you was always so interesting. I loved hearing all of your stories and experiences. You lived life to its fullestand you were not afraid to try something new. You sure can cook! I loved that shrimp dish that you made at our GE party this past January. I was always so tickled when you use to leave boxes of chocolates all wrapped up for each of the instructors for Christmas. That was one of the many thoughtful things that you did. You are an amazing man, a special man. There aren't many like you and I am so very lucky to have known you. I will remember you always. I am so sad that I won't share another conversation with you. But, I know you are in a good place and you will continue to amaze wherever you go. Love always, Jenn

I met Reuben when our sons were at Montessori School in the early 90s. Though I never got to know Reuben, I remember him being generous with his time and volunteering to help build a jungle gym and swing set for the kids. I remember him being an affable person and easy conversationalist. My thoughts go out to the family during this difficult time.

To the Family of Reuben, I have been out of town a few days and upon returing was very sadden to hear of Reuben's death. Words can't make your sorrow any easier to bear, but they can show how deeply others sympathize and care for your family. I joined his Master's Class at the South MAC 7 years ago. We in that class are just like family and enjoyed his class to the fullest. He was a wonderful instructor of many forms of exercise. He was always so upbeat, had a smile and knew us by name. He always said we "Seniors" are further ahead in life by exercising. We will miss him so much but must continue to exercise to carry on his legacy. Sincerely, DeAnn Shields

I would like to extend my very deepest sympathies to Reuben's family and friends. He was called home way too early and we can only wonder what God has planned for him now. Some of my favorite memories are of the days I spent with my Hawkeye Nut family. Reuben was always ready to entertain with a story or three over a great pot of coffee. I am so fortunate to have known him. Again, my deepest sympathy goes out to all.

Dear Eric, Michael, & Andrew, I was so shocked to hear of your dad's passing. We went back to grade school & were close until he moved to Iowa, when our contacts were pretty much X-mas cards. Your dad was a wonderful guy & I find it hard to believe that he's gone. The all-night card games, beach parties, & ROTC of high school will always be cherished memories for me. I feel like I've lost a brother. Again, boys, I & my family's deepest sympathy for your loss. Sincerely, Bob Ward

I had the pleasure and honor of meeting Reuben about 25 years ago when I joined the Chicago Police Department. Reuben was a real gentleman and a heck of a Police Officer. He was what we call in the business the "real deal". He will be missed. God Bless.

I am the great grand daughter of Peter & Bertha Olson of Rugby, North Dakota. My father was Nora Olson's son. I am sorry to hear about Reubun, when I look at his picture, he looks very much like my father Robert J. Duquette. My father died in 1985, he was only 58. Sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
