Isabelle, Sandy, Sally Ann and families, I was very saddened to hear of Steve's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult time. I met Steve in the mid 70's through my sister Sue and her then husband Chuck shortly after he came home from the Marine Corps. Steve had a great sense of humor, and had a fabulous knack for storytelling. As you know, he was loved by all who met him. It's been over thirty years now, but I will never forget how wonderful all of you were. It seems like yesterday Steve was riding around CR in his new black Ford Granada, listening to CW McCall tapes, and entertaining all his friends at The Colony Restaurant and Lounge. He will be greatly missed. God Bless.

"Once a Marine, always a Marine!" It has been my privilege and honor to get to know Steve and consider him a friend over the past 9 years. There was not a visit I made to the Cedar Rapids Facility that Steve didn't go out of his way to say "Hi" and fill me in on a couple "quick" fish stories. Steve had a great way of showing he cared and cheering me up each time we crossed paths. He will be missed but his stories will live on. Semper Fi Andy O

I have just heard about Steve's passing, I am so very sorry. My heart goes out to all of his family. Steve was a great guy, he always had a smile on his face. We just loved to see him come in the Cigarette Outlet with all of his coupons, Pam and I thought it was funny as well as Steve, that Karol would have to count every one of the coupons. He will be deeply missed. God Bless
