Charlotte Elizabeth Johnson, 89, 1048 H Ave NW died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness. Services: 11:00 A.M. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories where friends may call from 10 A.M. until the time of the service. The Rev. William Harnish will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Surviving are three grandchildren, Phil Wieneke Annette of Cedar Rapids; Chris Wieneke Sabrina of San Antonio, TX and Michelle Kouse Jason of Dayton, OH; a sister, Genevieve Berns of St. Clould, MN; a step-son, Emery Johnson of Illinois; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Frank; a daughter, Rosemary Wieneke Tidwell; a brother, Wesley Reed; and a sister, Mary Schenk.
Charlotte was born April 19, 1919 in Spirit Lake the daughter of Wesley and Pearl Johnson Reed. She married Frank C. Johnson on August 15, 1943 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Charlotte was a pharmaceutical clerk for McKesson-Robins from 1942 until her retirement in 1981. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and she loved to play bingo.
