Rose Marie Darling, 66, of 2460 17th Ave, Marion, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, in Mercy Medical Center following a long illness. Services at 11 AM Tuesday in Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Rev. Dave Higdon will officiate. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 PM on Monday and at the chapel after 10:30 AM on Tuesday.

Survivors include her husband Edwin "Larry", two sons Larry and wife Cindy of Tipton, Iowa, and Dan of Hiawatha, a granddaughter Rebecca of Tipton, Iowa, and two brothers Jim Hanrahan of Arlington Heights, Illinois, and John wife Debbie Hanrahan of Washington D. C. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother George Hanrahan, and two sisters Mary White and Frances Ford.

Rose was born May 7, 1941 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa, to James and Frances Chock Hanrahan. She married Edwin "Larry" Darling on August 17, 1963 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa. She was employed by Oscars Restaurant in Hiawatha for several years. She was a member of the National. Rifle Association. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, and spending time with her granddaughter.
