Memorial
Armand D. Fuller, 81, of Cedar Rapids, died March 26, 2008 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following a short illness. A memorial gathering in his honor will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Hall, 1135 11th St. NW, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements entrusted to Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include his sons Armand C. Kim Fuller, and Armand D. Kit Fuller; a sister Lila Jackson; his bird Ema; nieces Suzan Moeller and husband Rich, and Tamara Engledow and husband Peter; nephews Steven Jackson and wife Cathy, and Arthur Steinke; and many grand nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara, his parents, a sister Coral Dragoo, and a niece Julie Steinke.
Armand Dwight Fuller was born March 13, 1927 the son of Charles and Vera Siegert Fuller. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy during WWII. He was united in marriage to Barbara Freeman on November 19, 1950 in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. He was employed for 39 years at the Cedar Rapids Police Department mainly as a helicopter pilot. Prior to working at the police department he had worked as an ambulance driver. He was a member of the Eagles Club. He greatly enjoyed fishing and boating with his family in Guttenberg, and traveling. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
