Irene H. Nash Rick

Irene was married to my uncle, Hugh Rick. She was always so friendly and had a smile on her face that lit the room. I last saw her at a family reunion last summer and gave her a big ol' hug as it had been a few years since I had seen her. She and Hugh visited my mother and dad Sam and Jean Arnell on a regular basis; this was especially important because my mother was pretty much house-ridden and enjoyed their company. Thanks, Irene, for being there for her. Now we will be there for your family. Will miss you. Love, Jane Ann.

I would like to express my sincere condolences on the recent passing of Irene. I feel compelled to let you know how much I appreciated her dedication to my family and especially my great grandfather, Hugh Rick. Irene had been apart of my family ever since I was a little girl, 3 yrs of age. I am now 30. I haven't seen Irene since my Great Grandfather passed in 2002. She has always been in my heart as if nothing ever changed. I was very sorry to hear of Irene's passing. My thoughts are with you and all loved ones during this difficult time of loss.

When my grandmother died I was 23. Then a year or so later I found out my grandfather was going to marry Irene. At first I did'nt understand. But from the very first day that I met her I knew why. Irene took all of us in like we have always been there. She is one of the most loving and caring person I have ever met. She treated my kids and my numerous grand children with so much love. I will miss you Irene, but will never forget you. Love Rick

When I think of Irene I see her big smile, she could brighten a room. I will always remember her de-boning the turkey every Thanksgiving and bringing her tiny pecan pies and cream cheese pickles, a family tradition to this day. We share in your sorrow that she is no longer here. Thank you for sharing her with us.

I only had the pleasure to meet Irene three time before I married Rick Capps and then she moved away, but with cards and letters to her for the last six years I grew to understand how special and beautiful she was. I learned to understand the love this woman brought to our side of the family. Irene you now have the wings to carry on your special love and you will always be a an angel to all of us.
