Sandra K. Tish, 63, of Cedar Rapids, died March 21, 2008 in her home following a sudden illness. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, March 28, 2008 at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment: Oak Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include her daughters Tammy Christensen of Cedar Rapids, and Chris Smith of Arkansas; her sons Larry Smith and wife Michelle of Iowa City, and Doug Smith of Utah; her grandchildren Brian Smith, Amber Smith, Thomas Christensen, and Joseph Parr; brothers Harold Hunter of Iowa City, Alva Hunter of Cedar Rapids, and Marvin Hunter of Iowa City; sisters Darlene Youngman of Montana, and Linda Vermace of Iowa City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Larry L. Smith and Dale Tish; brothers Ron Hunter, Robert Hunter, and Kenneth Hunter and sister Joy Halstead.

Sandy was born June 13, 1944 in Cedar Rapids the daughter of Alva and Doris Augustine Hunter, Sr. She was married to Larry L. Smith who preceded her in death, and later married Dale Tish who also preceded her in death. She worked as a bar tender for many years throughout the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City communities, retiring from the VFW in Iowa City. She enjoyed cooking for her friends, being outside and enjoying the summertime, and above all her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the memorial fund established in her honor.
