Vera and I were neighbors/friends as young children. I always loved to spend time in her home on Shaffer Road. In years past I sometimes would think I saw her in places, stores, etc., and wish I had spoken to her. Her passing brings back so many wonderful memories. Sincere sympathy to the family. You have my deepest sympathy in the loss of your wife, Bill. Also sympathy to your whole family. I know it is a great loss and one we never want to go through but we have to hang onto the memories and they will never fade. She was a good wife and mother and you all have many good memories of her to carry you through the coming years. Bill, I attended McKinley with you class of Jan. 1950. Jill, I work for Maria's Art and have met you through Maria's art work. Maria White also sends her sympathy to you. I remember Vera as a very outgoing and cheerful person and of all the good things she has done while her time was here with us. She and I were only a few days apart in age. My 76th was the 11th. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you at this difficult time. Just remember God will sustain you through the coming days. Keep the faith.

Dear Jill, I was talking to my mother-in-law and she said that Ellen Todd and had called to pass on the news of your mother's death. I am sorry. I know she hasn't been well, but it's still so hard! There's all these memories. I remember how well dressed your mom always was when I saw her and she had a great smile. I always felt welcomed at your house when we were kids. Sure seems like so long ago, doesn't it? The reason my mother-in-law called was to wish me a "happy birthday" Can you believe we're 50 now? I remember when my mom turned 50. Guess that's the way it is. I did want you to know I was thinking about you--I didn't realize that Scott was in Arvada. If you get out this way, maybe we can get together. Take care and I'll be thinking about you. Your mom was a really nice lady! Sincerely, Linda
