Floyd A. Johnson, 91, of Cedar Rapids passed away Thursday, December 20, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital following a brief illness. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Johnson was born in Mason City, Iowa on September 13, 1916 to Marthias and Amanda Brock Johnson. Mr. Johnson married Elizabeth M. Wallace on December 15, 1943 in Mason City. They celebrated their 64th anniversary on December 15, 2007.
Mr. Johnson initially farmed but retired from Century Engineering, Cedar Rapids in 1982.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife; a sister, Dorothy Payne of Evergreen, CO; a son, Douglas Johnson of Marion; a daughter, Julie Emmert of Marion, Illinois; two grandsons, Lee Emmert of Arlington, VA and Dustin D. Johnson; one granddaughter, Christine Emmert of Eden Prairie, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of St. Luke's.
