Georgia is an ongoing inspiration to me! The first year she attended Emerson, I was in constant awe of her accomplishments and warming personality. Her smile was contagious and her independence was amazing. I didn't know Georgia very well personally, but our paths have crossed many times over the years and I am very grateful for the memories I have. I will never forget seeing Georgia on stage during her fall music program singing in unison with her peers. Wow, I was so proud too. Georgia, because of you, the first year raising my daughter, was filled with a little extra hope about her future. Thank you for touching my heart with your positive energy. Today my heart aches each time I am reminded that you are no longer with us. I will keep your family and friends in my prayers as they are also heartbroken. Until we meet again... Your Friend, Tracy

I had the privilege to teach Georgia, but she taught me so much more. She taught me that if you yell really loud outside our outside door that it echoes, that your singing voice sounds really good in the restroom, that all accomplishments need to be celebrated, that love and caring is truly unconditional, and the most important lesson that she taught me was to appreciate each and every day, because life is beautiful and Georgia showed us that every day. Thank you Steve and Karen for bringing your beautiful child to us and sharing her. Our hearts will ache for her smiles, her tricks, and her efforts to be a good student. Our love for her will never end. God Bless Georgia and her family. Hugs and shooting kisses, your Mrs. Homes

You carry your heart on your sleeve whenever her name is mentioned and I got to know her so well through your stories and also through the "Georgia Star". Steve and Karen, Georgia's smile could warm anyone's heart and that's exactly what she did every time she walked into our classroom. We are truly blessed to have known such a wonderful little girl. We will miss that beautiful smile, the pictures she colored for us, and her ornery wit. Georgia touched so many lives in the short amount of time she spent with us and that is a tribute to both of you, in how you raised her. Her FMI classmates and teachers are devastated at her loss. Steve and Karen, When I got this job last year at FMI, "our Mrs.Holmes" told me that I wouldn't make alot of money at this job, but that I would get a "PAYCHECK OF THE HEART". Oh, I got so much more then that, I got my Georgia- she stole my heart. I loved watching the world through her eyes. She always wanted to try everything all by herself, always wanting to learn. The way she made everyone fall in love with her and want to be her friend. I will miss my dancing partner, but when I do dance she will always be right by my side. Thank you for sharing your precious child with me, she will always make me want to be a better person. God Bless, Tammy

Dear Steve and Karen, My sympathy, and care to you and your family on the loss of Georgia. How sad I have been since hearing the news. She was such a delight to our R.E. program. One of my favorite quotes comes from a man named Henry Ward Beecher. He writes, "There are persons so radiant, so genial, so kind, that you instinctively feel in their presence that they are good." That is how I always felt whenever I saw Georgia. May our God embrace you and give you strength. Mary Hauschildt

Steve and Karen, Growing up in Battle Creek next door to Georgia, I had more happy memories with her than I can even remember. Georgia was the epitome of how we all should live our lives; with faith and happiness to guide us in our every step. Georgia was the happiest child I ever knew, and it's because she had wonderful parents like yourselves that taught her how to truly live. We tend to let too many things get in the way of enjoying ourselves. We can all learn from Georgia's life to see the good in everyone and not let little things distract us from being happy. I never saw Georgia without a smile on her face, she means the world to me and always will. Love, Jackie

My Dear Steve and Karen: How our hearts ache to learn that one of our "favorite kids" is gone. How sorry we are for your loss. We first met Georgia when she was in Joshua's class at Ann J. Kellogg. How much I enjoyed visiting with Georgia, Hosta and Steve every time they visited Felpausch. You were never in a hurry and Georgia would quite often have a doughnut from the bakery and a chocolate face!!before wandering to the deli for a sample of pepperoni or jello. We were privileged to have had you at Joshua's birthday parties and our whole family was blessed to have met and known all of you. Steve, you were a great, wonderful, incredible Dad who always took time to let us spoil and share your girl. How hard it was when you moved and we couldn't see her wonderful smile, dance, and once in awhile a "no". We know how much you all loved her and we consider our lives richer because we were able to know such a wonderful kid. She knew how to enjoy life and live it her own way. We know she's enjoying her angel wings right now. We will also miss the annual edition of the "Georgia Star". Please know you'll continually be in our thoughts and prayers. Steve and Karen, You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers daily. I marveled at the services and all the lives that Georgia touch in her life. It is clear she made more of a difference in the lives of others than many who walked this earth seven times as long. You have no idea... When I returned home I recieved cards and calls from individuals who said their friends and churches were praying and impacted by the events over the last few days even here in Oklahoma.
