Georgia Tylar-Ruth Vavra, 11, of 620 6th Ave, Marion, died Friday, November 30, 2007, in University Hospital in Iowa City, following a short illness. Services at 11 AM Tuesday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marion. Rev. John Gossman will officiate. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 8 PM on Monday with a Wake service beginning at 7 PM.

Survivors include her parents Steven and Karen A.Vavra, two brothers Joshua Reznicow and wife Karen of Cedar Rapids, and Sam Reznicow and wife Michelle of Elk River, Minnesota, grandparents James and Georgia Vavra of Portage, Michigan, 2 nephews Ethan and Noah Reznicow, and 1 niece Andrea Reznicow, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and her K-9 companion "Hosta". She was preceded in death by her grandparents Raymond and Inez Picciano.

Georgia was born February 27, 1996 in Marshall, Michigan. She was a 5th grade student at Francis Marion Intermediate School in Marion. She enjoyed music, dancing, riding horses, swimming in her grandparents lake, and vintage movies and musicals.
