Frank, I havent seen you since we graduated from LaSalle back in 1964. I do, however, remember you clearly as one of the funniest and nicest members of the Class of 1964. My thoughts and prayers are with you wife and family at this time.

I was so sorry to hear of Frank's death. We were best of friends from grade school thru high school. During grade school at St Pat's, Frank and I would walk part way home each day for lunch, Frank to his house and I, to my grandparent's grocery store. Frank was always my protector. He said he had to look out for his little buddy. He always called me "Nuts" or "Krumbnuts". Frank always had something funny to say. I always envied his good looks, sense of humor and popularity. He had a genuine interest in people and I still remember at our last reunion when he asked "Well what have you been up to Nuts". Frank, you were a great friend and I miss you already. You fought the good fight to the very end, be at peace with the Lord.

Dear Patty, Frank and I were buddies from an early age and although we didn't see each other very often after high school the friendship always remained strong. His easy laugh and friendly manner let everyone know he was a person who had never met a stranger. He called me "Big G" for years and although I never really knew where the nickname came from, how could you argue with a guy that had such a broad smile and big heart. I still remember how shocked he was when I drove my car over the yard to the hotel parking lot after our highschool reunion let's not share that with everyone! And how concerned he was that I get home safely after a few too many adult beverages. But that was his nature...always worried about others. I will treasure the picture of him and always remember my best pal from Highschool. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Gary Cornwell aka "Big G"

Patty, Frank is an intregal part of many of my favorite memories of Catholic Schools in Cedar Rapids-from St Pats to the first graduating class of LaSalle. He was one of the "Cool" guys who always made me laugh AND got me into lots of trouble in chemistry class with Sister Mary Charmagne. He would call my name until I would turn around to see what he wanted. Sister would then ask me to meet her outside the room where she would scold me for flirting. She never got mad at Frank. No one did. He was just too lovable and fun. I long ago forgave him for throwing up all over me when we were in the "Tilt-A-Whirl" on a hot, muggy day at the All Iowa Fair! I will always remember him fondly and with a smile. He was one of a kind. I am so sorry for you. He will be missed. He was one of a kind. G.G.Getz

Been out of town til nowFrank was in my class from 3rd grade at St. Pat's to 12th grade at LaSalle. Memories of Frank: very smart, very funny, very kind - just an all around great guy. The world was a better place with Frank in it. I'm so saddened by his passing and send my heart-felt sympathies to his wife and family.
