As someone whom put my life into perspective and helped to mold me into the person I am today I owe her more than just a thank you and an I love you. She and my grandfather were the best friends I ever had. I am lucky to have had such great influential people in my life. My grandmother was always welcoming and self sacrificing. She made sure we had quiet time to read and made efforts to help us seek out our interests. She always thought of other people with genuine kindness and lived a life by the golden rule. She worked hard at what she did in life. She loved and cared for her family with the utmost tenacity. To see her or to say her name makes one smile. She made a lot of great memories. She lived a very good life and made the lives around her good. She did it right. I will miss her dearly and carry the memories of her and my grandfather with me till the last of my days, I only hope that in their eyes I live up to the grade. You were my friend. My shining light of guidance and hope. By your candle I will always find the way.
