James L. "Biker Jim" Taylor, 75, of Cedar Rapids, died April 3, 2007 at the US Veterans Medical Center, Iowa City, following a short illness. Services 1 PM Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. William B. Harnish will officiate. Friends may call Monday, April 9, 2007 from 4 to 7 PM at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. Military Rites by American Legion Hanford Post #5. Interment Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include daughter Terri, and friend and caregiver Annette Harding.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, and 7 brothers and sisters.
James L. Taylor was born April 13, 1931 in Cedar Rapids, the beloved son of Fred and Iona Mason Taylor. He served his country honorably during the Korean Conflict in the Marines. While in battle Jim was the recipient of two purple hearts. He was employed for many years at Iowa Manufacturing. He greatly enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his close friends while riding.
