Eleanor M. Usher, 90, of 2700 1st Ave. in Marion died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007 at her home after a short illness. Services at 11 AM on Friday at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer will officiate. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday.
Survivors include her husband, Harold, a son, Gary and his wife, Barb of Marion and a sister, Iona Mulburn of Mt. Vernon. She is also survived by a grandson, Chad and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Howard, and four sisters, Helen, Marie, Dorothy and Bernice.
Eleanor was born on April 23, 1916 in Covington, the daughter of Harry and Myrle Rawson Hanson. She married Harold D. Usher on June 14, 1935 in Cedar Rapids. Eleanor was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts, playing the organ, cooking and especially time spent with her beloved family.
