Paul E. Zahn, 71, of 2712 J. St. SW, died Monday, January 8, 2007, in Mercy Medical Center following a long illness. His family will have an open house to celebrate his life at his son's residence 3106 Hogan Ave NW 396-0412 from 4 to 8 PM Friday. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife Jane "Mike", four sons Ricky Sandra of Cedar Rapids, Shawn of Penn., Shane and David Suize all of Cedar Rapids, a brother Clarence Laverne Zahn of Washington, four sisters Mary Evans of Urbana, Lavone Robert Lee of Vinton, Mardell Lint of Shellsburg, and Hazel Harry Rublack of Vinton, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Oliver, Robert, Walter, and Levi, and two sisters Lois, and Marie.

Paul was born December 1, 1935 in Iowa City to John and Vrna Rambo Zahn. He married Jane Robertson on November 26, 1971 in Galena, Illinois. He was employed at Wilson's for 27 and a half years in the Bacon Room and production. He loved to fish and hunt and going to casino's especially Tama.

Instead of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
