Byron J. Ingram, 44, of 439 Sunset Dr. in Lebanon, MO. formerly of Cedar Rapids died Friday Sept. 8, 2006 at St. John's Hospital in Lebanon, MO. after a long illness. Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM on Friday at All Saints Catholic Church. Rev. David O'Connor will officiate. Inurnment at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday where there will be a vigil service at 6:00 PM.
Survivors include his parents, Gordon and Rosemary Ingram of Lebanon, MO., a brother, Patrick and two sisters, Maureen Lee and Diane Struve all of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Byron was born on Aug. 9, 1962 in Cedar Rapids the son of Gordon and Rosemary Hayes Ingram. He graduated from Regis High School in 1980. He graduated from DeVry University in Kansas City, MO. in 1984 and went from there to work for Scientific Atlanta Co. in Sunnyvale, CA. After two years there he went to New Mexico to attend the College of Engineering in Albuquerque, NM. He started showing symptoms of multiple sclerosis after about three years while in his junior year but was not diagnosed until much later. It progressed very rapidly and ultimately led to his demise.
