Katherine "Katie" L. Johnson, 76, 3131 F Ave NW died Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at her home following a long illness. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Mausoleum. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Hansen Larry of Marion and Melissa Kauffman of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Daniel Yavorsky Nancy of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; a granddaughter, Sarah Hansen of Marion; one niece; two nephews; and her grandpuppies, Clancy and Sophie.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an aunt, Gerry Early.
Katie was born June 2, 1930 in Chicago, IL the daughter of George and Marguerite Carlton Yavorsky. She was a financial secretary for First Presbyterian Church from 1985 to 1993. She was a member of the V.F.W. in Hamilton, IL. Katie loved bingo, trips to the casino, and dining out.
